Hi Everyone,

I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it if anyone could inform me of the
contact details for a company based in India who
manufactures/distributes/sells a powder used on Carrom (Carom) boards.
The brand name of the powder is Fosco. The company's name may be
either Fosco or 'Asian Sports'.

If anyone knows of anyone who deals with this powder in any other
country, that info would be welcome also.

If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful.

Thank you.

Hopeful.

I believe the powder is Boric Acid, available from chemists, if you are
in the UK. It also has a useful extra ability - if you mix it with
paraffin for fire juggling, the flames burn a very nice green. Don't do
this while playing Carrom though!

I just tried "Carrom Powder" on Google and got about 700 hits...

Mespi powder is supposed to be better. It's also non-toxic. If you insist
on using boric acid on your carrom board, make sure that you don't lick your
fingers during/after a game.

Thanks Richard!

I have tried many, many powders which are made specially for Carrom
boards but NONE of them work on my board except Fosco, so this is why
I wanted to know the source.

What is Mepsi? Where is it available?

Don't worry, we don't eat any of it! Hahahah. There are no kids here
so we don't have to worry about anyone ingesting it accidentally.

Hopeful.

Mespi (http://www.mespi.com/) is a trade mark, mainly found in
Germany/Switzerland/Italy. They make great boards and also great powder. It
is available from Adam Spielt in Germany (about 10 Euro a bottle)
http://www.adam-spielt.de. You can also try http://www.carrom-shop.de/

Thanks Mark!

I have already scoured the Internet and I have found the powder I am
looking for, however, it is from a retailer.

I wish to know the details of the people who make/dist. it (in India).
They cannot be found on the web.

Thanks.
